Project Overview

"Support to Participation to Union Programmes" is a project of the Ministry for European Integration of the Republic of Serbia, funded by the European Union. The budget of the project is EUR 1,145,800. The project lasts from December 2024 to May 2027 and represents an opportunity for anyone wishing to learn how to become a successful participant in the Union's Programmes.
Union programmes are designed to enhance collaboration between EU member states and candidate countries across various sectors. They are funded by the European Union's common budget, and support the development in areas such as energy, transport, entrepreneurship, competitiveness, environmental protection, human rights.
These programmes offer opportunities for citizens, institutions, and the private sector to become familiar with EU values and policies in various fields, legal framework, successful solutions, and experiences from EU countries. They provide financial support for high-quality projects from both member states and candidate countries, so Serbia is aiming to increase the presence of domestic projects within these programmes.

What is the objective of the project?

Union Programmes offer numerous opportunities for development, enhance cooperation with the EU, and support Serbia in its accession process to the European Union. To enhance Serbia's participation in these Programmes, the project will focus on:
1. Strengthening the capabilities of National Contact Points (NCPs) and governmental authorities for managing the Union Programmes, via training sessions, workshops, individual mentoring, and study visits.
2. Enhancing the capacities of potential applicants through workshops, training sessions, individual consultations, and info days about Union programmes.
3. Raising public awareness about the opportunities offered by EU programmes – by sharing information, conducting promotional activities, improving online tools, and enhancing institutional cooperation.

What methods will be employed to achieve the objectives?

To ensure more effective participation in Union programmes, a series of trainings, workshops, and events will be organised to help all interested partners better understand, successfully engage in the 11 EU programmes in which Serbia participates, and access grants for their projects more easily.
